“The Lotus Atelier,” a traditional stamp manufacturer with over a century of history, was established in 1910 in Fukuoka, Japan. Akino-san, who was married to the third generation of the family, created the famous peg-like ‘Kobo Ren’ stamp with modern and traditional Japanese symbols. Kobo Ren stamps are made with premium wood from the Hon-Tsuge tree that takes 40 years to grow in Kagoshima, Japan.
