From Avocado Mori: “Oppenheimer in 1936 speculated that the upper limit of the mass of a neutron star is multiple times the mass of the sun. A neutron star with a mass greater than this multiple of the sun will collapse into a black hole due to its own gravity. This theory is called the Oppenheimer limit (TOV limit). How closely Oppenheimer was related to the theory of neutron stars and black holes, piecing together fragments of Oppenheimer and neutron stars in his mind, this picture can be born. I think everything is arranged by the neutron star.”
