I guess we’ve all been there. There was nothing wrong with feeling sadness. Sometimes, we’re not feeling okay, and it’s OK—it’s part of having a human experience. In her new collection, Melancholy, Wei—the talented artist behind Black Milk Project, captures the whole roller-coaster of emotion: falling into sadness, crying our eyes out, grounding, making peace with our shadow-self, and nurturing/comforting ourselves.

It’s a beautiful collection to remind us that we all have not-so-comfortable days and that we need to acknowledge those days, too: to feel it, to cry for it, to accept it, to understand it. Going through our sadness (instead of denying it or running away from it) can also help us grow. It can help our hearts feel lighter and prepare us to face a new day with a genuine smile and gratitude.
