Cafe Analog x Petra Brcic – Dandelion – Exclusive Stamp

This is a gorgeous, delicate, and whimsical exclusive stamp design from Petra Brcic for Cafe Analog. Petra said this about the stamp: “Have you ever gazed at the stars and felt a spark of hope, comfort, and inspiration ignite within you? When was the last time you allowed yourself to soak in that ‘awe’ feeling from gazing at the vastness of the night sky and the distant, tiny lights you see? I try to capture that feeling in the things I do and create every so often. ‘Try’ is the keyword here. I tried again recently when Hanny approached me and honored me with an invitation to design a stamp for the May Cafe Analog Stationery Box. And this little one is the result of my latest attempt. The first thing that came to mind was the full, block-color background. On the canvas, it was black, complete, and empty simultaneously, just like the vastness of the universe. That’s some deep stuff to be said about a black oval drawn on an iPad, but that’s what I wanted to depict. Second came the tiny petals, like beacons of light spreading in the darkness, as a radiating light of a star. Now we’re getting somewhere! Lastly, the leaves spread out and hugged the flower while the tiny stars started a little dance around them. Cozy, right? Like a cosmic hug.”
