In Japan, each time a different emperor begins to rule, a new counting of the years begins, and the period acquires a new name. The period from 2019 until the present is called the Reiwa Era–which means ‘order and harmony’. Japanese years are calculated by the number of years the Emperor has reigned. This stamp will not be restocked once they are gone—and they fly off the shelves quite quickly every year. We try to bring more of them this year, but stock is quite limited already—we bring to the shop what we can get!!! 🙂 They are very iconic when stamped! Try making a gold embossing project with them for your Lunar New Year’s card!
