AWAGAMI – Handmade Thick Postcards w/ Wood Bits
They might be too thick for layering in your journal pages, but I love using them to decorate the cover of my journals (they really give them such a special, exclusive look!). I also love using them as postcards inside a happy mail bundle (I write my messages on one side and collage/paste Polaroid pictures on the other side). Sometimes, I also cut them into smaller sizes and spray my favorite perfume on them—then share the fragrance inside the happy mail envelope!
From Awagami Factory: “Thick handmade cards suitable for many types of art, crafts and printing. Made in the “Tamezuki” method, an East-meets-West style of papermaking that allows for thicker sheets. These cards use recycled wood shavings saved from our neighboring carpenter, subtly mixed into the pulp producing beautiful paper with organic deckle edges.”
